    Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated PURCHASING focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience.

    This position supports the Clean Air Business Line.

     

    Possible responsibilities include:

    • Analyze and develop strategic recommendations related to RFQ’s and financial impacts
    • Collect data from SAP, spreadsheets, and other systems to assemble change management jobs
    • Maintain master spreadsheet, track job change progress, and follow-up as required
    • Collect and assemble change management data packages, conduct follow-up with input providers when required
    • Support other projects for Supply Chain Management as required

    REQUIRED OF AN INTERN:

    • Must be able to travel throughout the term of the internship
    • Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    Required Experience

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
    • Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
    • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period MAY – AUGUST 2022
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in supply chain, supply chain management, or engineering (with a focus in supply chain or supply chain management) from an accredited institution
    • Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Student with SAP experience
