    General Summary

     

    The Senior HRIS Analyst partners with HR and organizational leaders to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for the development, build and maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems and processes. Analyzes, designs, implements and maintains information systems to support human resources operations and projects. Develops and maintains electronic systems and processes to facilitate adequate screening, orientation and acculturation of all individuals working for Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

    Principal Responsibilities

     

    The Senior HRIS Analyst will:

     

    1. Maintain Human Resources Information Systems, serving as in-house expert user, providing HRIS training to other Human Resources staff.
    2. Design, implement, and maintain electronic Human Resources Information Systems to manage employee data and to support the employee life cycle (attracting, hiring, performance management and employee retention).
    3. Support the implementation and maintenance of electronic onboarding processes and portals for employees and non-employees (contractors, volunteers and students).
    4. Maintain and update foundational employee/non-employee data in Human Resources Information Systems including new hire data, status changes, transfers, and terminations.
    5. Resolves manager HRIS related issues, coordinating with the Help Desk/Information Systems staff, as needed.
    6. Provide Human Resources Information Systems end user support, monitoring task completion and following up as needed.
    7. Participate in system quality assurance and performance testing in partnership with Information Systems and IS Security teams.
    8. Participate in ongoing development of HR technology and its link to streamlined data processing including electronic interfaces and a fully electronic employee record.
    9. Monitor and problem solve data integration issues between SRAlab systems including employee/non-employee set up issues, system upgrades/conversions, and system access problems, by collaborating with Information Systems, Finance, Payroll and other HR partners.
    10. Provides employee and non-employee data tracking and metric reporting to support HR operations, organizational analytics and workforce planning/management.
    11. Maintain database files, validation tables and develop custom reports to meet Human Resources departmental and organizational needs.
    12. Participate in Human Resources Information Systems initiatives to achieve departmental/organizational goals and objectives.
    13. Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

    Required Experience

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

     

    1. Education level appropriate with what is typically gained through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Information Technology, Informational Technology or a related field required.
    2. Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources processes and systems experience.
    3. Experienced with concepts, practices and procedures in the Human Resources field with a full understanding of the HRIS area.
    4. Able to maintain current of HRIS trends with a focus on service delivery and applying key technologies.
    5. Experience with ADP, HRIS and talent management applications and portal set up, preferred.
    6. Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
    7. Ability to communicate to all levels in the organization, both verbally and in writing.
    8. Ability to multi-task and produce accurate and timely work.
    9. Strong customer services skills. Resolves a wide range of HRIS issues.
    10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    11. Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
    12. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner.
