    We are looking for a Human Resources Manager. This position will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the plants personnel function and assist in guiding the members of the organization towards the achievement of SBU and plant required objectives. This is a Union Facility. this position requires union experience.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and monitor personnel workplace rules and procedures in accordance with the Company’s strategies and legislative requirements.
    • Manage and develop the personnel department functional staff, systems, and processes.
    • Develop and administer comprehensive compensation and benefits programs.
    • Contribute to the achievement of Company goals and staff satisfaction through the design and implementation of effective labor and employee relations strategies.
    • Direct all loss prevention activities including health & safety, worker’s compensation, employee wellness programs, and return to work programs.
    • Ensure functional compliance with all federal, state, and local statutory requirements including EEO, NLRB, OFCCP, etc.
    • Prepare, control, and monitor departmental AOP goals.
    • Contribute to the strategic initiatives such as BOS, Six Sigma, etc.
    • Participate in and sponsor community activities.
    • Successfully manage the plants training program to ensure that employees are adequately trained to perform their assigned duties.
    • Coordinate and evaluate the plants annual Performance Alignment process for timely completion and process integrity.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related field.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 years of experience as an HR manager in a manufacturing environment or 3-5 years of experience as an HR generalist.
    • Union experience is required.
    • PHR/SPHR preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA laws.
    • Knowledge of EEOC reporting requirements.
    • Knowledge of NLRA laws.
    • Knowledge of worker’s compensation laws.
