    We are looking for an experienced Shift Production Superintendent to join our manufacturing team in Kettering, OH. The superintendent is responsible for overseeing the team’s immediate and short-term objectives (i.e. output, quality, waste, yield, safety, etc.), and will coach and manage production supervisors while ensuring all operational objectives are met. This person will report to the Plant Manager and will become a valued member of our team therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Set objectives and review shift's performance versus objectives.
    • Coordinate the production, maintenance, sanitation, and quality, shipping and receiving areas for efficient operation.
    • Monitor performance of departments to meet production efficiency, yield and quality goals.
    • Communicate performance standards to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
    • Conduct plant inspections ensuring all regulations relating to safety, security, discipline, etc. are adhered to.
    • Monitor operations to meet company policies, quality specifications, and OSHA standards.
    • Mentor and motivate supervisors, providing training and development optimizing their performance and personal growth.
    • Ensure effective utilization of the team by training subordinates, motivating consistent performances, appraising performance, recommending salary action and developing for potential promotion.
    • Provide a clear sense of direction for supervisors to work toward while encouraging teamwork.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION:

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • College Coursework with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing required with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • Excellent leadership skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate within operational management.
    • Must have strong communication and interpersonal (people) skills.
    • Proficient computer and analytical skills needed.
