    Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated engineering student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Elastomers Engineering Center located in MILAN, OHIO.

    The GLOBAL ELASTOMERS ENGINEERING CO-OP role supports our Engineering and Test departments.  Additionally, the GLOBAL ELASTOMERS ENGINEERING CO-OP will have the opportunity to interact with engineers, engineering and manufacturing leaders, project leaders, technicians, and cross-functional project stakeholders during the co-op assignment. 

    As a GLOBAL ELASTOMERS ENGINEERING CO-OP YOU will:

    • Be assigned a Mentor to guide, support and coach you throughout your co-op experience at Tenneco.
    • Receive relevant field experience in the area of Engineering, Quality and Test.
    • Be given projects that will involve a wide variety of activities including data collection on manufacturing processes, simple design projects, procedure writing and revision, etc.

    Required Skills

    • Must be able to work independently and in a Team based environment.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    Required Experience

    • Student currently enrolled in and in good standing with an accredited cooperative education engineering program.
    • Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering.
    • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
    • Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site.
    • Ability to participate in a co-op work term (MINIMUM OF 10 WEEKS) during the WINTER co-op period (JANUARY - MAY).
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
    • Geographically flexible and willing to relocate during the program.
