    Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated FINANCE OR PURCHASING/SUPPLY CHAIN focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced technical facility located in MONROE, MI. *This position will be remote for the time being.

    Possible responsibilities include:

    • Assist with reconciling/resolving payment issues with suppliers
    • Create/publish A/P metrics reports
    • Assist with analysis of 3rd part service provider costs, supplier financial risk assessments, PPV review/reconciliations, vendor payment terms analysis, and cash forecasts
    • Create data analysis and reports as well as complete special projects as required
    • Ensure that the Purchasing Finance reports accurately reflect financial performance in accordance with GAAP and Tenneco’s policies

    REQUIRED OF AN INTERN: Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Effective time management skills Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting, Econ, Purchasing and Supply Chain, or Finance from an accredited institution Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
