    We need talented NVH Test Engineers to join us on our journey and grow with us.  This role offers remote flexibility for team members within Southeast Michigan/ Northwest Ohio. 

    Successful candidates will have a unique opportunity to:

    • Direct and develop innovative technical concepts and solutions that provide industry leading NVH and performance solutions with competitive advantage. Make design proposals for customer applications. • Identify new business opportunities and lead the activities to secure new business. Monitor passenger car and light truck markets to seek out and recommend new product/application opportunities. • Provide engineering support to business units, manufacturing and customer groups as required. Support the TENPlus process and provide program management utilizing DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R and control plan development. • Working with product development team to support design and product optimization. • Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, BOS and environmental health and safety.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead test development and implementation for new test equipment, methods, procedure, and associated documentation to ensure that physical, environmental, and functional tests are reliable, safe, and meet customer requirements. Design, develop and lead the implementation of computerized and instrumented testing applications, integrating technology with customers, suppliers, and other plants.
    • Support business unit engineering with NVH testing capabilities and guidance with customers.
    • Lead test cycle development based on customer data using multiple tools (nCode, FEA, etc.) to provide meaningful test results at optimized run time.
    • Coach and provide technical support to the lab in all testing operations, training, troubleshooting, programming, design, and calibrations.
    • Direct and coordinate continuous improvements in testing and prototype manufacturing methods, capabilities and productivity. Provide technical support to other Tenneco personnel and facilities by assisting in testing issues and correlations.
    • Keep current and implement technical advances that can be employed to increase reliability, reduce cost and advance engineering methods.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, KPI, and Environmental Health and Safety.
    • 25-30% Travel to testing facilities.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Excellent computer, spreadsheet, and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills required (written, oral and presentation).
    • 5+ years of NVH / Test Engineering experience.

     

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Knowledge of LMS software
  • Qualifications

    1.At least 3~5 years working experience in testing(Elastomer is preferred);

    2.Ability to analyze and communicate technician issues , lead discussion, and influence decision;

    3.LMS test lab operation experience is preferred;

    4.Familiar  with test equipment operation and data analysis;

    5.Good communication skills in English, verbal and written(CET-4 or equal experience).
