    Tenneco is a quality orientated global manufacturing company. Tenneco is one of the world’s largest designers, manufactures and marketers of clean air and ride performance products in the Automotive Industry.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    To perform laboratory analysis and maintain paint line finishing equipment /system (e-coat and auto deposition), chrome plating, washers and other manufacturing processes. Provide technical support for production problems related to chemical processes and equipment.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:SET UP, MONITOR, MAINTAIN CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING PROCESSES.

    • Perform maintenance duties as required.
    • Maintain records involving chemicals, usage and maintenance.
    • Maintain work areas in good state of housekeeping and participate in 5S objectives.
    • Perform other essential functions as required or assigned by Supervisor
    • Utilizing industry and product applications concepts and procedures;
    • Providing technical guidance and advice to improve quality and efficiency

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Two years of experience in troubleshooting paint line finishing equipment within a manufacturing environment and in managing projects would be preferred but experience working with other manufacturing equipment also will be considered
    • Associates degree in a technical field is preferred.
    • Utilizing industry and product applications concepts and procedures;
    • Understanding of applications equipment and specifications;
    • High school diploma or equivalent Required
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Working knowledge and application of SPC and quality control methods.      
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.
    • Proven ability to support and assist in product and process development trials and functions.
    • Able to work anyl shift and overtime as required
