    Following Tenneco’s expected separation to form two new, independent companies, an Aftermarket and Ride Performance company (DRiV™) as well as a new Powertrain Technology company, the new Tenneco will be one of the world’s largest pure-play powertrain companies serving OE markets worldwide with engineered solutions addressing fuel economy, power output, and criteria pollution requirements for gasoline, diesel and electrified powertrains. Tenneco's Blacksburg Bearings facility is currently recruiting for Machine Operators to join our hourly production team.

    We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You’ll first hear from someone in Human Resources to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview Hiring Manager. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operating heavy machinery to produce quality bearings for companies such as Ford, GM and Chrysler
    • Responsible for quality checks
    • Troubleshooting machinery
    • Producing high volume amounts daily

    Required Skills

    All candidates must be willing and able to work any shift. Weekly overtime is required, as well as weekends and holidays when needed. Qualified candidates will have strong mechanical ability, prior production experience, be comfortable with computers, have good math skills (decimals, fractions, measuring) and have completed a high school degree or have a GED

  • Qualifications

     

    1. High school diploma or equivalent education.
    2. Minimum 1 year of experience as a physical therapy aide, occupational therapy aide, or related health care experience with knowledge of patient care methods procedures and techniques.
    3. Understanding of the growth and development of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
    4. Communicates effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written communication.
    5. Ability to take ownership for serving the customer, team, and organization for achieving goals and for resolving problems.
    6. Willingly adapts to changing work demands and work environment.
    7. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and makes sound judgments to monitor and respond to patient needs or changes in condition.
    8. Anticipates assesses and addresses the needs of patients, internal and external customers to positively influence the patient/customer experience (directly or indirectly).
    9. Ability to transfer and position patients, consistent with lifting up to 35 lbs.
