The incumbent is responsible for a variety of straightforward, routine duties in the assigned department or work area related to the manufacture and assembly of product. The incumbent participates in the company’s quality initiatives including, but not limited to: TS/ISO certification and maintenance of quality systems in place. The incumbent participates in the company’s safety programs by ensuring a safe and clean working environment, timely reporting of any safety violations, timely reporting of any workplace incidents or injuries, and effective housekeeping.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform as a team member in the operation, which requires the ability to learn different types of machines and able to rotate within the area.
• Must be able to perform job within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards.
• Perform safety check and other checks as required per machine.
• Reads control plans for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances tooling instructions such as holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used.
• Set up machine to be specification within control plans.
• Starts machine and observes operation
• Verifies dimensions of work for conformance to specifications.
• Changes tooling as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand standard work, directions, chart and control plans
• Ability to follow directions and flexibility to respond to problems and changes in job assignments
• Able to use various measuring equipment including, but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, gauges
• Ability to pass certification to operate overhead crane
• Able to lift repetitively up to 50 lbs.
