POSITION SUMMARY:
STARTING PAY $15/HR
Provide technical support and expertise in metal fabrication, machining and plating; completing one or more processes towards the manufacturing of struts, shocks or components. Perform as an active team member in supporting and performing all tasks in area.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform as a team member in the operation; requires the ability to learn different types of machines and able to rotate within the area.
- Must be able to perform job within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards.
- Perform safety checks and other checks as required per machine.
- Reads control plans for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances tooling instructions such as holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to beused.
- Set up machine to specification within control plan.
- Starts machine and observes operation.
- Verifies dimensions of work for conformance to specifications.
- Changes tooling as needed.
- Maintain and trouble shoot machine components.
- Perform changeover of machines to different part numbers as customer schedules require.
- Perform basic repairs to machine parts.
- May perform Chemical additions and analysis
- Rebuild, maintain fixtures.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance.
Required Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years machine operating experience
- Experience troubleshooting machine failures in an industrial equiptment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and understand standard work, directions, charts and control plans
- Ability to follow directions and flexibility to respond to problems and changes in job assignments
- Able to lift repetitively up to 30 lbs.
- Able to work any shift
- Able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, twist, turn and grasp.
