The National Strategy Practice of DHG Healthcare provides creative solutions to some of the most complex strategic challenges facing providers, payers and employers in today's transformative environment. At our core, we assist healthcare clients in their development and deployment of the actionable playbooks designed to address their challenges and accelerate their success. We accomplish this core mission through the lens of Planning, Growth and Execution.
At this time, we are looking for experienced Managers with healthcare provider strategic planning experience for our Atlanta, Cleveland and Nashville offices.
Responsibilities
A Manager position with DHG Healthcare is a leadership position with our practice and provides individuals with significant opportunities for leadership growth, professional exploration and career development. For that reason, a manager within the National Strategy Practice will:
- Support partners with the management of complex engagements and serve as the key activity driver;
- Manage multiple simultaneous engagements and various project teams;
- Define unique responses, through research and application to challenging client issues;
- Develop engagement staff via real-time feedback, monitoring and reinforcement;
- Model the firm's culture and commitment to growing our people and supporting our clients;
- Establish relationships with the health care practitioners across DHG Healthcare;
- Acquire new technical knowledge specific to our consulting practice and the clients we serve;
- Develop a deep understanding of the breadth and depth of practice offerings;
- Drive practice growth through both add-on sales and new business ascertainment;
- Emerge as an industry thought leader in various areas via support of content marketing initiatives; and
- Flexibility to accommodate travel and project related expectations
Qualifications
- Well-developed level of professional agility that is characterized by:
- Adeptness at quickly shifting attention among multiple tasks, potentially under distracting conditions, without loss of accuracy or efficiency;
- Ability to solve complex problems while directing and managing individuals, and competing challenging priorities;
- Comfort in working both individually or within a diverse group;
- Open to changing situations and opportunities and willingness to perform all tasks assigned;
- Demonstrated composure and service oriented demeanor, while dealing with stressful issues; and
- Ability to thrive in a high performance environment that delivers outstanding, measurable results.
- More than 4 years of experience consulting to Hospitals, Health Systems, Clinically Integrated Networks, and Large Physician Organizations.
- Demonstrated record of participating in selling professional services engagements - both add on work and net new work.
- Track record of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, and budgets/schedules.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; degree (MBA/MPH/MPA/MHA) a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
- Comfortably and confidently use a computer and specialized software, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to travel up to 75% annually.
