    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    As part of the StudioLAB team, the candidate will be joining a team of innovators and multi-skilled individuals with broad experience in a wide range of specialisms and industries, collectively capable of prototyping and delivering Studios-centric software, hardware, new kinds of content and experiences, and even new lines of cinematic-related business.

     

    Looking for an Innovation Program Manager to join the StudioLAB team: someone who wants to take a strong participatory role in the delivery of next generation creative and production technologies, and to directly help drive innovation across our cinematic pipelines and experiences. This person would be reporting to the Director, Content Innovation and also be delivering to the VP Content Innovation & StudioLAB and Portfolio Architect.

     

    Responsibilities:

    ·         Looking for an Innovation Program Manager to join the team to collaborate with StudioLAB leadership to shape the process, reporting, communication strategy and stakeholder management that drives results across the StudioLAB portfolio.

    ·         The Innovation Program Manager will be part of a highly creative advanced technology team which is tasked with discovering and shepherding innovation within all forms of cinematic content generation.

    ·         Will be key to ensuring the organization, coordination and communication of the projects and overall program, promoting best in class teamwork, best in class management practices, and superb and successful client handling.

    ·         Will be an excellent team wrangler and will bring experience and methods to the role that will help a thinly-stretched team be as efficient, happy and organized as possible. The position will report to the Director, Content Innovation, and will work directly with the Senior Managers and Managers across the StudioLAB, as well as management peers across the Technology Innovation Team.

    ·         Will be naturally interested in change and innovation, a fast learner with proven experience, and will bring a strong knowledge of key management and organizational tools and methods that will ensure delivery of excellence.

    ·         Must have excellent production and communication skills, content-switch seamlessly and work fantastically well across complex cross-functional teams and business units. An ability to be flexible and work in a dynamic and extremely fast-paced environment to meet the needs of our business are critical to success, while maintaining an even keel and a sense of humor at all times will be prized.

    ·         Experience in FILM OR TELEVISION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT is a strong bonus, but equivalent skills from software or hardware technology or other engineering development will be considered.

    ·         A BROAD UNDERSTANDING OF THE TECHNOLOGIES IN PLAY - VR/AR/XR, VIRTUAL PRODUCTION, RENDERING, COMPUTER GRAPHICS, ANIMATION, REAL TIME PRODUCTION, VIDEO GAME PRODUCTION AND VIDEO PRODUCTION - IS REQUIRED.          

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    ·         Be the key contact for project reporting and status at any given moment for the team and its executives

    ·         Manage the program and project reporting and status collection, and the organization of communication of status and delivery on a daily and weekly basis

    ·         EXPERIENCE WITH AIRTABLE, MIRO, MURAL A LARGE PLUS

    ·         Ability to run an efficient brainstorming session a large plus

    ·         Responsible for executing (under guidance) StudioLAB’s quarterly stakeholder meeting series (“roadshow”), collaborating with StudioLAB leadership to gather complex requirements, collect project updates and materials for customized agendas, and detailed-oriented scheduling for executive meetings pattern-matching with StudioLAB team, including providing resources for team travel.

    ·         Work with leadership to manage the production and design of communication packages, including presentations, shipping forecasts, and visual data for senior executives

    ·         Work with leadership to improve and execute the team’s internal communication system, and the necessary use of software systems to centralize communication, milestones, tasks and timelines, working to provide flexibility to teams, but consistent key information across the portfolio.

    ·         Improve team cohesion and coordinate team building events, social events and bring other ideas to the table to innovate or trial systems within internal team management (e.g. leverage a tool like Miro that we are exploring for production for internal brainstorm session, etc.)

    ·         Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately across the portfolio; regularly check-in with all leads for updates and to ensure material is ready for executive presentations (e.g. project cards, sizzle materials, etc.)

    ·         As needed, help onboard and manage contractors or vendors on projects, including tracking necessary paperwork.

    ·         6+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A PROGRAM MANAGER OR EQUIVALENT, ideally within a large-scale corporation’s technology department or in film production: deep expertise in program management and program management tools and processes.

    ·         Proven ability to set and meet project milestones, while clearly and timely communicating any risks or blockers

    ·         EXCELLENT INDUSTRY UNDERSTANDING OF THE LATEST IN EMERGING OR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR CONTENT DEVELOPMENT: XR, VIRTUAL PRODUCTION, DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCTION, REAL-TIME & GAME ENGINE FOR CONTENT PRODUCTION, CLOUD PRODUCTION, AI & ML, IS REQUIRED.

    ·         Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

    ·         Strong partnership skills and ability to work within a collaborative team environment

    ·         Excellent project management skills, resource and timeline management, contingency planning and ability to work with external contractors and consultants, innovation partners and vendors

    ·         Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization (Creatives, technical leads, executives, innovation partners, etc.)

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    ·         Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

    ·         Previous experience working in a Feature or Episodic production environment
