    Clinton Community College is seeking a forward-thinking, dynamic individual to join CCC. Clinton Community College, a member of the State University of New Yorksystem, invites applications for tenure-track faculty positionsin History. The History faculty reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the position is effective with the Spring 2026 semester.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester in the following areas:

    o History of Early and Modern America

    o Western Civilization (Origins and the Modern Era)

    o World History

    o Government and Politics in America, State and Local Government, World Politics

    Additional duties include conducting scheduled office hours for student conferences, academic advisement, and participation on college committees as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A master's degree in history, Political Science, or a related field is required.

    o Applicants who do not possess the above qualifications are encouraged to put in writing how their background and experiences have prepared them for responsibilities of this position and by providing appropriate references.

    o Exceptions to the degree requirement may be made for compelling reasons as evidenced by other educational degrees and/or experiences.
