Due to the high demand of commercial vehicles and Ford Motor Company’s public commitment for additional resources in this arena, we need you to be the essential piece of the long-term success of Tenvoorde Fords Commercial Department. You’ll be a member of an established team of Commercial Sales Associates that are willing and eager to train a new member of their team. For the right candidate, we provide full scale training to candidates with zero experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT DOES A COMMERCIAL SALES APPRENTICE DO?
- Handle the prospecting and selling of all commercial vehicle products and programs for your store to qualified accounts via an outside business to the business sales process
- Become Ford Commercial certified
- Establish a prospecting system and/or work with the existing dealership prospecting system and establish objectives in conjunction with management for outside sales calls and appointments
- Responsible for detailing the activities of all outside sales calls and tracking, and maintaining the appropriate customer follow-up processes within either the prospect database or dealer approved CRM tool
- Coordinate the delivery process for all products including the arrangement of required customer accessories and up-fits
- Maintain knowledge of all commercial F&I, parts, and service products so they can be presented to customers on sales calls
- Provide leads to retail sales department for non-commercial product interests obtained during outside sales visits
- Represent Tenvoorde Ford at all appropriate trade shows and fairs as well as regional Trade Associations in order to promote the sale of commercial vehicle products and services at the dealership
- Assist with inventory planning to better align dealer inventory with customer quotations and potential future business opportunities
- Assist with maintaining appropriate stock levels for all commercial collateral materials to be commensurate with quote and usage activity

- 2-4 year College Degree

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START!
- Be prepared for open shifts, close shifts, Saturday shifts and working approximately 50 hours per week, 5 workdays per calendar week.

- Must be adaptive to and embrace change
- Basic computer skills are needed
- You will walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning
- You may need to work in hot/cold weather conditions
- Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to assist in snow days
