JOB DESCRIPTION - ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER General Responsibilities 1. Procure project documents for civil projects. 2. Study drawing specifications and geotechnical reports. 3. Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes. 4. Prepare takeoffs and cost estimates, bid proposals and budgets. 5. Understand and help implement required safety measurements. 6. Prepare project billings and close out project documents. 7. Assist with DOT snow plow operations. 8. Track materials and inventory. General Requirements 1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with analytical thinking. 2. Basic understanding and experience of civil construction methods. 3. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. 4. Experience with construction management software. 5. Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications. 6. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to various job sites. Willing to train the right individual with room to grow within the company. Work Hours Monday-Friday (typical), 8 hours a day. Reporting Relationship Assistant Project Managers will get direction and must follow instructions given by the Project Manager and President.
