About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Terminal Manager to lead operations at our Maryland headquarters - our flagship and highest-value terminal. This role requires a strong leader with the ability to engage, motivate, and manage blue-collar teams while maintaining excellence in safety, operations, and culture.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-driven, and capable of setting and sustaining high operational standards while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and pride.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily terminal operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
Manage and develop staff, scheduling, and performance.
Monitor logistics, routing, and dispatch to optimize productivity.
Maintain compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
Manage budgets, inventory, and operational reporting.
Foster strong communication between drivers, customers, and management.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in terminal management, dispatch, or logistics (trucking industry).
Proven leadership and team development experience.
Forklift certification and valid driver’s license required.
Proficiency in TMS/logistics systems and MS Office Suite.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices.
Adaptable to changing priorities and non-traditional hours.
First 6-Month Deliverables
Read or listen to How to Win Friends & Influence People in the Digital Age and Extreme Ownership.
Implement a daily 10-minute warehouse huddle to inspire and align the team.
Schedule 6 months of driver safety meetings with documented topics.
Update warehouse and driver training guides to reflect new, efficient processes.
Obtain forklift certification (if not already certified).
Complete OSHA 10 and Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion Training (49 CFR Part 382.603).
Partner with the Director of Operations to plan two annual service projects for your team.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary: $76,000 annually (paid weekly via direct deposit)
Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid
PTO: 2 weeks annually (increases to 3 weeks at year 3, with cash-out option)
Holidays: 5 paid holidays per year
