Terminal Operations Manager

Location: Greater Houston Area (On-Site)

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 or more (Flexible for strong candidates)

Overview

A growing industrial materials company is seeking a Terminal Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at a material distribution terminal in the Greater Houston area. This role is responsible for operational efficiency, safety compliance, maintenance oversight, inventory management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily terminal operations including inventory control, logistics coordination, and cost management
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance standards are met
• Oversee safety programs and conduct regular inspections
• Manage staffing, training, scheduling, and performance of terminal employees
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
• Coordinate with logistics partners to prevent stockouts and demurrage
• Develop and manage terminal operating budgets
• Oversee facility maintenance including electrical and mechanical systems
• Maintain strong cross-functional communication with leadership and logistics teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in terminal operations, dry bulk distribution, or bulk materials handling
• Strong maintenance and electrical knowledge
• Experience supervising front-line operational teams
• Demonstrated cost control and operational optimization capability
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (not required)
