Terraphase Engineering is seeking a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to join our growing organization as a Principal Geologist or Engineer in our Portland office.
Role & Responsibilities
- Project management (Principal/Project Director role)
- Oversee technical quality, budgets, and human capital
- Act as Senior Project Director/Technical Expert on regional projects
- Identify and implement growth strategies for clients
- Lead and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients
- Stay abreast of local and national regulations and advise staff and clients on new opportunities
- Develop and manage budgets
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Identify and recruit key staff for growth
- Identify and engage new clients
- Cultivate a culture of business development and marketing
- Prepare project cost proposals and other deliverables
- Respond to RFP’s
- Have an established backlog of clientele
Requirements
- 10+ years experience with a B.S. in geology, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or geological engineering required; M.S. Degree preferred
- Professional registration in Northwest region as a Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Excellent technical writing capabilities
- Established knowledge of the consulting field preferred, with geographic knowledge of clientele
- Ability to produce high-quality products on schedule and within budgets
- Prior project management experience, business development skills, experience with state and federal environmental regulations/agencies, and a strong relationship with industrial and commercial clients are required. Registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist is strongly preferred.
