    You will play a crucial role as a Certified Registered Nurse Assistant (CRNA) at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate and high-quality nursing care to veterans, assisting registered nurses in medical procedures, monitoring patients' vital signs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. You will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans, administer medications, and maintain accurate patient records. Additionally, as a CRNA, you will contribute to the overall well-being of veterans by offering emotional support and promoting a patient-centered approach to healthcare.

    What does a typical day look like for a Certified Registered Nurse Assistant (CRNA) look like?

    You will:

    • · Conduct initial assessments of assigned patients, reviewing medical records, and gathering relevant information to develop a comprehensive understanding of their health status.
    • · Engage in regular communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care plans, share updates, and ensure coordinated and effective care delivery.
    • · Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, administer medications as prescribed, and monitor vital signs to ensure the well-being of assigned patients.
    • · Support healthcare providers during medical procedures and treatments, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
    • · Accurately record patient data, including vital signs, medications administered, and any changes in medical status, adhering to VA Medical Center documentation protocols.
    • · Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care instructions, promoting a thorough understanding of their healthcare plans.
    • · Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, following established protocols and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
    • · Maintain a clean and organized patient care area, including regularly cleaning and restocking supplies, contributing to a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
    • · Stay informed about the latest medical advancements and participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    • Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
    • Active certification as a CRNA.
    • A CRNA license with the state.
    • Previous experience working as a CRNA, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
