So, what will a Logistics Officer at Terrestris do?

You will play a crucial role as a Logistics Officer for the Emergency Support Section (ESS) office within the ATF. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating and overseeing the efficient movement of essential resources, equipment, and personnel during emergency response operations. You will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure timely and effective logistical support, managing inventory, transportation, and supply chain operations. Your role will also involve developing contingency plans, evaluating vendor relationships, and implementing cost-effective strategies to optimize logistical processes. In times of crisis, you will be instrumental in maintaining the seamless flow of resources, contributing to the ATF's overall emergency response capabilities.

What does a typical day look like for a Logistics Officer?

You will:

• Develop and annually update all logistics plans for ATF-ESS subject to government approval.
• Ensure that equipment, supplies, billeting, and sustainment items are in place to support deployed ESF #13 Federal Law Enforcement Officers and ATF personnel during ISB activations.
• Maintain Personal Protective Equipment for issue to ATF-ESS personnel and deployed FLEO's.
• Coordinate and arrange transportation, billeting, and subsistence for ATF-ESS personnel and deployed officers, including, but not limited to: commercial lodging, temporary structure lodging, such as tents, military billeting, sanitation facilities, laundry facilities, nourishment and hydration, fuel, and transportation of personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Operate ATF-ESS vehicles to support the preparation for and deployment of government equipment, supplies, and personnel, consistent with the ATF-ESS mission.
• Conduct training, briefings and hands-on orientations for ATF-ESS and other Federal agency personnel who may assist in ATF-ESS logistics or have some other official purpose for the information.
• Conduct pre-disaster site visits for planning, site reconnaissance and networking with stakeholders.
• Perform research, development and test duties for new equipment and deployment strategies of value to ATF-ESS.
• Be prepared for, and ready to deploy during ATF-ESS activations to operate and coordinate the ATF-ESS Logistics element and response in the impacted area.
• Coordinate with the Logistics Branch Chief to determine and execute other duties as needed related to the logistics mission.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the leader we're looking for if you have:

• A bachelor's degree.
• · An active Top-Secret Security clearance.
• · Experience that qualifies you as a subject matter expert in the field of logistics planning and delivery, with experience in crisis management/ emergency management, law enforcement and/or military logistics.
• · A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a crisis management/emergency management, law enforcement, or military organization.
• · At least three (3) years of leadership experience assigned in a unit responsible for crisis management/emergency management, response, and/or training.
• · The physical ability and desire to deploy to austere environments and perform strenuous labor functions in hot and cold environments in support of disaster logistics operations.
• · A Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle License to operate appropriate ATF-ESS vehicles.
