Job Description

Terry Humphrey Public Affairs Group (THPAG) is seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper with a background in online Quickbooks, A/P and A/R. This position is a part time position: estimated hours 20-30 per week. Position is located in Topeka, Kansas. Compensation: highly competitive; based on experience and commensurate skills. Duties: Currently, THPAG uses QuickBooks for its accounting and has multiple accounts that need bookkeeping services. * Bookkeeping Services * Record journal entries into QuickBooks (as needed) * Reconcile monthly bank statements to the financial statements * Process checks when needed and work with Exec. Dir. for signature and mailing. * Record A/P & A/R in report log in Google Drive including checks and deposit slips * Keep credit card receipts loaded into Google Drive along with the credit card statements. * Financial Reporting * Prepare monthly financial reports (balance sheets and profit & Loss) by the 12th of each month. * 1099 reporting * Tax Reporting Requirements * Reconcile and remit quarterly sales tax returns and payments * Remit sales tax to other states if necessary * Budget * Input the adopted budget into the QuickBooks software Qualifications * Accounting degree preferred.
