    OFFICE MANAGER FOR PASTEL MANUFACTURING COMPANY

    We are looking for a mature individual who is upbeat, detail oriented, analytical, able to multi-task and has a strong customer service background with some marketing experience.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    • Customer Service Lead for any calls, emails, retail orders and walk-in customers
    • Works with wholesale customers
    • Liaison to artists that purchase and promote our product
    • Answers phones, maintains front office
    • Manages Facebook correspondence

    ORDER MANAGEMENT

    • Manages all retail and wholesale orders – printing retail orders, creates Wholesale invoices and tracking of all orders
    • Manages and orders supplies to support production, shipping and office
    • Creates and maintains pricing lists, showroom labels, set indexes and all other signage needs
    • Works with the Production and Shipping Managers, Mixer and executive team in coordinating order fulfillment

    MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

    • Executes the marketing/advertising plan with approved budget from the CFO
    • Develops the Social Media Calendar
    • Creates print and online advertising content and promotions with assistance from an independent graphic artist
    • Manages the Award Certificate budget and plan ($10K annual)
    • Manages the Instructor Retail Product Program
    • Coordinates and overseas the planning of the IAPS trade show and all other events

    SHIPPING MANAGEMENT

    • Orders all supplies for the packaging and shipping of products
    • Maintains the client/wholesaler mail and email lists
    • Manages Shipping personnel, assists shipping as needed

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • Customer Service oriented – Enjoys working with the public
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in using Microsoft applications in particular, Word and Excel
    • Some experience using Adobe Photoshop and PDF applications
    • Self-motivated - Able to manage time efficiently and effectively
    • Excellent organizational skills – Ability to stay on task especially while multi-tasking
    • Communication: Open, honest, clear and positive
    • Strong work ethic
    • Dependable
    • Comfortable working in team environment as well as ability to work independently

    BONUS ATTRIBUTES

    • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment not required but is helpful
    • Experience with customer database applications a bonus
    • Art background with strong knowledge of color is beneficial
    • Passion for the art industry a plus

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A valid driver’s license
    • High school diploma required
    • Physical strength and stamina, ability to carry and/or lift up to 30 lbs.

We have been in business for over 15 years and produce 750 high quality and unique pastel colors. Pastels are manufactured by hand on location and sold to artists and distributors throughout the United States and internationally.
