REGIONAL GROUP CONTROLLER – MIDWEST / NORTHWEST MFG PLANTS

Supports 7 plant locations (MN (about 3 hours from Minneapolis), Kansas, (close to Wichita), Nebraska (close to Omaha and Lincoln), IDAHO, (an hour from Boise), Oregon (Portland area), and one in CA.

REMOTE ROLE with 40% TRAVEL. 

SALARY RANGE $130,000-145,000 PLUS 20% BONUS

I am currently recruiting for a GROUP CONTROLLER role to be located in the EITHER MINNESOTA, NEBRASKA OR IDAHO region (flexible) in support of MFG PLANT LOCATIONS (7 plants). The Regional controller will provide Accounting leadership and oversight supporting the plant controllers ensuring adherence to financial reporting requirements within the framework of GAAP. Regional travel (40%) required to support the plant locations.

The position will have 7 direct reports, plant controller/location and is a manufacturer of building materials. Responsibilities include:

• Review monthly financial reports, account reconciliations ensuring accuracy
• Develop templates for process standardization; support implementation of standardized accounting across plant locations
• Hire and train new Plant Controllers
• Perform Periodic reviews of plant controls to ensure compliance with Best Practices and SOX requirements.
• Partner with external auditors and internal audit department including year-end audit package.

The hiring manager is looking FOR 5-10 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE supporting standard cost manufacturing accounting with 2 years of multi-site experience preferred. BACHELOR’S DEGREE in ACCOUNTING OR FINANCE with extra credentialing such as a CPA, CMA OR MBA VALUED. The qualified candidate will have good ERP system experience along with well-developed skills in Excel.

The salary range is $130,000-$145,000 PLUS 20% BONUS.
