Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term client's team at (2) properties in St. Paul, and Rosemount, MN. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in maintenance, preventative maintenance, work orders, unit-turns/move outs, and be able to manage/organize daily tasks independently. This role will report to a Property Manager. A Boiler License is preferred but not required.

This role will be working with (2) affordable communities – Site 1: 86 units, Section 42 Extended Use and Site 2: 36 units, Section 42, built in 1991.

Salary: $24-$28/hour. (30-90 days before potential conversion). Mileage re-imbursement for driving between the properties.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 830am – 5pm. NO ON CALL!!!!

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance – preventative maintenance, work orders and unit turns.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as this role will be roving between 2 properties.
