Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term client’s team at (2) of their properties in Roseville (55113) and St. Paul (55103). The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in hands on maintenance, experience in unit turns, boilers experience and knowledge is required (certification is preferred and can be obtained after conversion), strong organization skills and someone that will lead by example. This role is a contract to hire role (30-120 days before conversion) and start date can be identified immediately after successfully completing and clearing a Kari Koskinen background check.

This role will be working with (2) affordable housing/income restricted properties with a total of 119 units (Site 1 was built in 2020, 59 units and 4 stories, Site 2 was built in 2015, 60 affordable housing units and 3 stories).

Salary: $23-$27/hour - This role is a contract to hire role (30-120 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8am – 430pm – must be available for apartment turns and emergency response/on-call upon conversion. On-call will be every 4-8 weeks and further details can be provided during interviews.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in maintenance in residential communities - work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Boilers experience is required - certification is preferred and can be obtained after conversion.
• Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance.
• Be able to pass a Motor vehicle report.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
