Tesoro Group is seeking an experience Compliance Technician to join one of our long-term client’s team at (2) properties in Forest Lake, MN (55025). The ideal will have at least 2 years’ experience in property management – at least 1 year doing full cycle leasing within affordable housing (new leases and recertifications). The ideal candidate will have customer service skills and be knowledgeable with Fair housing rules/regulations and knowledge of HUD/Tax Credit. This is a contracted position (30-60 days) and has the potential to go long term for the right candidate.

This role will be working with (2) affordable housing communities in Forest Lake, MN (Site 1: Built in 2020, 45 units and 3 stories and Site 2: Built in 2023, 53 units and 4 stories).

Salary: $26-$29/hour. This is a contracted position (30-60 days) and has the potential to go long term for the right candidate.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm – some weekend and evening availability required during peak seasons (1 hour lunch break).

Compliance:

• Responsible for the site-based, property management program compliance.
• Interviews residents and timely processes certifications in accordance with HUD rules and regulations along with company policies and procedures.
• Accurately enters compliance information into YARDI (computer software system)

Property Management:

• Maintains resident relations to promote a positive image for the development, program, and company policies.
• Supports property management by professionally administering marketing, leasing, subsidy administration, and the turnover operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Excellent follow up and professional communication skills via email and phone.
• Yardi experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
