Tesoro Group is seeking a Paralegal to work with one of our Land Development clients.

Our client is a multi-disciplined Survey and Engineering firm based in Minnesota. They have been in business since 1972 and have been experiencing rapid growth over the past decade. They are a national leader in renewable energy. The company has a strong Civil engineering backbone but has grown into a true multidimensional engineering company including Electrical, Environmental, Geotechnical, and Structural.

The company is divided into two divisions; Power and Land.

• Power includes – Wind, Solar, Transmission, and Substation
• Land includes – Commercial, Residential, Transportation and Public Infrastructure

Duties and responsibilities

• Filing documentation as it relates to cases

• Organizing and maintaining legal paperwork, files, exhibits and other important information for clients

• Composing legal reports for lawyers regarding various aspects of a case

• Helping attorneys prepare motions, legal arguments and other parts of a case

• Staying up to date on legal procedures and regulations as they relate to the paralegal's field of practice

• Conducting various types of research related to laws, legal articles and other information relevant to a case

• Interviewing clients and witnesses and preparing documentation of the interview for attorney review

• Drafting various legal documents including pleadings, deposition notices and legal briefs

• Performing a variety of administrative tasks including filing paperwork, answering phones and sending emails
