  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    •Interpret unique prototype drawings, test specifications and requirements

    •Assist the product teams with the creation of test plans and experiments

    •Understand test requirements and carry out research & development test plans by:

    •Assembling prototype products

    •Carrying out tests using bespoke test equipment

    •Recording new processes and findings

    •Create written and graphed test data reports and help to conclude the outcome

    •Present data to testing group and stakeholders and provide insight on key test events

    •Part conditioning - experimenting using manufacturing methods to meet finish requirements

    •Draft new processes and procedures

    •Reconfigure equipment to complete nonstandard tests, based on requirements, design, and planning

    •Self manage own schedule providing commitments and executing effectively

    •Work in a safe manner and understand and apply general safety practices.

    •Work in an organized manner understanding and applying 5S

    •Drive the creation of written risk assessments

    •Contribute to team improvement projects

    •Management of inventory for key NPD projects

    •Apply a methodical approach to fault finding and RCA’s: for both testing equipment and new products i.e. isolation of variables

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    US: Technical Degree (2/3 years)

    Experience level

    •≥2 years' experience in similar hands-on role

    •Career experience in problem solving

    •Apprenticeship with manufacturing organisation with focus on mechanical engineering.

    And/or:

    •Additional academic project e.g. Formula student

    And/or:

    •Technical hobby that incorporates analytical or creative thinking
