The Transmission Engineer works in the Transmission Line Engineering team to perform engineering tasks and provide technical expertise to solve design problems. This position reports to the Transmission Engineering Manager.  Location:  either Raleigh or suburbs of Baltimore.

Participates in the design and evaluation of Client transmission and distribution overhead power lines to ensure that the needs of the Client are met in the most economical and effective manner

Participates in Overhead Transmission & Distribution Design utilizing PLS-CADD software.

Reviews engineering plans, specifications and equipment for utility projects.

Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.

Assists in the continued development of standards to provide guidelines for future project planning and design.

Requirements:

Must have a PE license.

Must be able to relocate to either office location.

Must have Green Card or US Citizenship.
