Our growing client south of Atlanta GA is seeking a full-time, permanent Supply Chain Director responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring supply chain operations to maximize efficiency, speed, and productivity. There will be a heavy emphasis on logistics, inventory, transportation, along with some purchasing. Location: Peachtree City GA.
Responsibilities
- Establish protocols, strategy, and procedures related to the procurement and readiness of materials and equipment in support of Field Operations and Product Sales teams.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
- Perform comprehensive supply chain analytics to enable strategic and operational decisions. Determine and manage key supply chain KPIs.
- Oversee the management of the Atlanta area Distribution Center and team of 8 employees. Optimize warehouse functions.
- Identify existing process bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Create and document step-by-step procedures for the supply planning process.
- Work with finance, sales, and Operations team to select top vendors and distributors, and build and maintain relationships with vendors. Negotiate with suppliers.
- Deploy and maintain NetSuite demand planning and SCM Control tower modules to plan and control production, inventory, and distribution utilizing cost-effective methods.
- Automate demand and supply planning leveraging historical data or sales forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering degree with 7+ years as a Supply Chain Engineer (or similar position). Masters degree preferred.
- Purchasing management experience is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain engineering operations and best practices.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, organization, and team building skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, including OSHA.
- Working experience with NetSuite SCM a plus.
- Ability to travel approx. 15%.
