Our utility consulting company is seeking a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in their Raleigh office.  Reports to the VP of Rates.

This position is a Senior Analyst that provides accounting and financial-related advisory services to investor-owned utility companies, municipal utilities, and cooperatives. Will include:

• Preparation of pro forma income statements and determination of revenue requirements for Cost-of-Service studies;
• Assist in preparation of financial planning and forecasting
• Provide cost-benefit analyses;
• Prepare technical financial and rate-related reports;
• Prepare and deliver presentations on technical issues for clients

• Has a thorough working knowledge of utility rates, cost allocation methodologies and regulatory accounting procedures.
• Can develop and provide comparisons of alternate rate design options.
• Can retrieve and manipulate data used for billing, load forecast, financial planning, and engineering.
• Skilled at building long-term relationships, including actively participating in industry groups.
• 5+ years of rate and/or utility experience; electric utilities preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA required, MBA preferred
