Our client with a headquarters in Chicago is seeking a high-energy, people-oriented Manager/Consultant to join the Business Intelligence consulting team full-time.  Seeking someone who is dedicated to exceptional customer service and eager to work with our clients to manage and assist the Midwest team to develop solutions to support business needs.  Our client's values are dedicated, fun, action-oriented, knowledgeable.

THE ROLE

• Manage and support the consultant team and encourage their growth, both personal and professional
• Lead customer relationships, strive to be a trusted advisor
• Drive business development with existing customers
• If technically savvy, serve as an Architect, or if more functional, serve as a Project Manager on projects as needed (about 50% of the time, whereas the other 50% will be managing the team)
• Participate in gathering functional requirements with business subject matter experts.
• Project management experience, including scope control, risk and issue management, Project budget tracking and project estimates
• Work with clients to develop data models which support business needs.
• Develop recommendations to improve the company's delivery process
• Drive new solutions/products based on experience or listening to customer needs
• Support and encourage the growth of team members, both personal and professional
• Knows the importance of billable hours and is able to manage resources to ensure every team member has the right amount of workload
  

DESIRED SKILLS

• Prior management experience ideal
• Experience developing and architecting BI applications
  
• Must be self-managed and dedicated to exceptional customer service
  
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and data modeling for large data sets
• Writing SQL scripts and advanced queries to load data from multiple sources
• Work with business users to understand their processes and reporting needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Approximately 6-10 years of work experience ideal
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience in the IT and BI field
• Prior experience with Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data Warehousing software - in priority order:  Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, SAS
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with customers
• Consulting experience, Qlik Certification and Web development skills are a strong plus
• Pharma experience is a plus
