    Our client serves the electric utility and telecommunications industries across the U.S., helping enable the delivery of safe, reliable and affordable electricity and communications services to millions of customers nationwide.

    We are currently seeking an Associate Project Manager who directs and coordinates activities related to company services for a key client. The role oversees a project's scheduling and implementation. 

    The role works directly with the external client onsite, as well as internal company operations, delivery, engineering, business development and management teams and the customer to ensure the project objectives are aligned and with the contracted scope of work. The Project Manager may be required to represent the company in project meetings.  This associate reports to and will be mentored by a seasoned Project Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contracted work scope specifications.
    • Track, manage and resolve project issues as they arise throughout the project life cycle
    • Formulate reports by extracting required data from various sources concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling, for internal and external distribution.
    • Implement and adhere to the project management process and methodology.
    • Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
    • Represent company in customer facing project meetings.
    • Track and reconcile revenue, cost of goods, accruals, and customer invoices using principles of cost accounting.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering plus 1-3 years of work experience.  Utility or telecom services industry management preferred.
    • Must have proficiency in MS Excel for data manipulation and reporting (pivot tables, charts, etc)
    • Experience in budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, invoicing, managing scope and expectations preferred
    • Experience coordinating with multiple teams and different personalities, can gently and professionally pester and follow-up with parties to meet deadlines
    • Attention to detail
