    Testing Center Assistant: Proctors both local and national exams on a 12-month, part-time basis.

    This is a part-time position of 19 hours or less per week with an hourly salary of $18.00.

    Responsibilities:

    55% Schedules and administers standardized tests, including, but not limited to, the TSI Assessment, NEXAdmissions Exam, CLEP (College Level Examination Program), Texas Commission on Law Enforcement examinations, Prometric's Automobile Service Excellence examinations, ACT, HiSET, and Pearson Vue examination, including GED.

    20% Maintains test security while facilitating the needs of students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

    10% Assists with maintaining records, collecting proctor fees, and securely storing test materials under the direction of the Director of Testing, Tutoring and Accessibility Services.

    10% Administers Grayson College proctored online courses exams and make-up exams as arranged by faculty.

    5% Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

    Education: An Associates degree is required.

    Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (students, visitors or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

    Other Skills: Strong customer service skills. Strong organizational skills.

    Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.

    Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
