Description
We are seeking an experienced licensed Architect to work in an atmosphere that promotes an integrated design process, where designers are encouraged to work together and coordinate with Project Architects, Designers, and Consultants, through all phases of a project’s design and construction.
The selected individual will primarily support our educational studio in TX, focused on K-12/Higher Education, but may also support other market types as needed. This position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience and a substantial knowledge of interior design and planning principles, building code requirements, specification preparation and organization, construction costs and methods. Must be experienced in selecting color and materials for all interior finishes, furniture and furnishings selections, lighting design, signage design, space planning, and detailing. Finally, they may also be assisting other Interior Designers and are responsible for work in all phases of the interior design process. You must submit both a resume and a digital portfolio to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
May assist the Project Manager or lead the following tasks:
- Meet with clients to gather requirements for projects
- Assist with putting the design schedule together
- Complete project specific Code Analysis
- Coordinate and manage consultant’s workflow
- Sets up project files and drawing sets utilizing firm standards
- Works individually and with the team in developing planning and creative-design concepts of a project
- Assists with leading and preparing of the documents for SD, DD, and CD
- Leads the CA phase for the firm
- Works with the specification writer to prepare a complete and accurate project manual
- Produces 3D renderings to present the design to clients
Required Skills
- Bachelors' degree in Architecture from Accredited University required
- Architectural licensure required; NCIDQ desired.
- Proficient in REVIT, 3D software, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and MS Office
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Excellent organizational and research skills
- Proficient in and understanding of building materials and techniques
