Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience required.

ECW experience preferred.

Self-motivated, takes initiative.

Responsibilities:

Works daily hospital charges entered by all physicians.

Verifies all demographics and insurance information is up to date.

Ensures authorization information is entered in the chart, if required by insurance.

Ensures medical records are uploaded/scanned into the patient chart, if required by insurance.

Follows up timely with different hospital teams to ensure we have all the correct information and/or medical records in the chart prior to the coding specialist reviewing the claim.

Posts patient and insurance payments.

Communicates effectively to provide timely feedback to the physicians, the billing department lead, and the practice administrator.

Attends weekly billing department meetings.

Other duties as assigned.
