Job Description
We are seeking an Operations Manager Healthcare Clinic - Dermatology to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Supervise on site staff (Medical Assistants and Front Office Personnel) to ensure productivity and good clinical flow.
- Ensure that accurate assessments of the locations needs for supplies and equipment are made and sent up through the appropriate chain of operations so that all items needs on hand are on hand.
- Enforce company policy with regards to employee behavior, counseling and coaching individuals who need special attention to meet criteria.
- Review applicants for openings at your location, meet and make hiring recommendations / decisions .
- Liase routinely with employees to determine their needs, hinderances in their duties and asses and pivot (with appropriate permission) company SOP to address any issues of low morale.
- Be the first member of the management team in line for any customer service issues that may arise.
- Foster good relations with other medical practices involved in our patient acquisition network.
- Devise and align workflows for the staff that adequately address the needs of the practice, complete all needed work in a timely manner and leads to an efficient patient experience.
- Directly supervise the flow of clinic and intercede if needed to work out any bottlenecks to lower wait times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration (preferably in a small private clinic setting)
- Familiarity with some medical billing procedures, but at least the overall process (life cycle of claim); insurance verification, discerning HMO vs PPO, Referral required vs not, and ensure that staff are properly intaking new patients to ensure no revenue interruption,
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work constructively with several different personality types.
- Ability to diffuse tense situations with patients and or staff.
