This Corporate HR Business Partner internship is integrating knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and developing your skills in a professional setting. This will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in corporate healthcare human resources. Our HR team supports the organization by creating the culture and experience for employees to thrive. Internship description/opportunities: Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. Work with HR team to understand areas of process improvement and develop ideas and materials (i.e. onboarding, streamline processes, rewards and recognition, etc) Partner with other departments to drive cross-functional changes (i.e. Information Technology to help streamline new hire experience). Employee relations- may participate in observing investigations. Performance Management- Participate in coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action discussions. Provide HR policy updates, guidance and interpretation. Support Corporate HR Leadership to champion and deliver corporate HR talent programs, e.g., talent management processes which include goal setting, review and calibration and rewards Special projects as business needs warrant and resources are secured and assigned Performs other related duties as assigned. Timeline: June 5-August 4, full-time, paid internship Qualifications: Prefer candidates at the junior, senior, or graduate student level pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Sociology, Psychology, or a similar major with strong communication and data analysis skills. Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills Demonstrates effective research tactics; good organizational skills Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers Commits to continuous learning; being self-motivated and self- directed Ability to work independently with sense of urgency to task completion Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities Strong attention to detail Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills Interest in learning about healthcare information technology Additional information: this role will be in-person, full time at the Addison (International Plaza) location.
