TEXTILE FABRICATOR MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for performing the sewing operations on lambs wool pelts and other materials using a sewing machine. The position is also responsible for everyday activities of the production environment. The manufactures sub-assemblies and finished medical devices for stocking purposes or per specified orders. Manufacturing technicians are responsible for manufacturing their respective products per documented procedures and processes and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.

DUTIES OF THE TEXTILE FABRICATOR MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN (include but not limited to):

• To keep accurate records of FDA and ISO regulated MP’s, IP’s and Tracer Sheets and to make sure they are compliant with current regulations.
• To maintain neatness and cleanliness of all areas, keep organized, and look for safety hazards. Must check product for good quality and must develop skills to enhance productivity.
• Must be able to perform sewing duties using a sewing machine on lamb’s wool pelts and various other materials.
• Handling of sharp instruments (scissors, scalpel sharps, and paper cutter).
• Both sitting and standing tasks.
• Notify production supervisors of non-conforming products or components, low stock levels, or activities not compliant with company policies.
• Technicians are responsible for asking questions to supervisors or management when they do not understand a process or policy and are unsure of their manufacturing methods.
• Coordinating and cooperating in a team production environment to ensure products are produced in an orderly, efficiently, and with the highest quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous sewing machine experience required
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Good organizational and communication skills
