    The Capital Strategies team works closely with institutional investors to assist them in their search for compelling hedge funds and alternatives managers relevant to their mandates. We actively seek, analyze, select, and partner with under-discovered, highly qualified, and performing managers to accelerate their growth through capital introduction or capital-raising services.     POSITION SUMMARY

    Thalēs is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join its Capital Strategies team to cover hedge funds and institutional investors. The Capital Strategies team provides capital introduction services to derivatives brokerage clients and acts as placement agent for hedge funds and alternatives managers. The selected candidate will cover existing investors and cultivate new relationships with institutional investors across regions and verticals. Additionally, a successful candidate will contribute to the manager sourcing effort leading to sales opportunities. Candidates should have prior experience in a related role including capital introduction or capital raising at investment banks, hedge funds, or placement agents.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in digitizing our clients' marketing and sales processes
    • Consult with managers on product structuring and positioning
    • Contribute to expanding the depth of institutional investors coverage
    • Pitch select hedge funds and opportunities to institutional investors
    • Source new hedge funds for capital raising or brokerage opportunities
    • Help manage and optimize our online capital introduction portal
    • Work closely with marketing to develop new research content

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics
    • 5-7 years of hedge fund sales experience or related role
    • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required, NFA Series 3 preferred
    • CFA or CAIA preferred

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Thorough understanding of the hedge fund industry
    • Experience in managing relationships with hedge funds
    • Active network and connectivity within the allocator community
    • Strong relationship development and management skills
    • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
    • Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies
