    TDB Communications, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant for our client Capitol Bridge, LLC (Capitol Bridge)at their Arlington, VA headquarters.  Capitol Bridge is a dynamic, rapidly maturing federal government contracting firm with a diverse portfolio of customers and offices in several states.  The ideal candidate will bring an understanding built on experience of the unique requirements of working in such an environment.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The selected Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting and finance duties to include: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and similar responsibilities.  This person will report directly to the CFO and will be expected to engage with senior management and project staff regularly.  They will be working alongside other members of the accounting and HR team who will assist with the execution of various tasks as required.  Additional responsibilities to include:

    • Prepare and process annual 1099 forms
    • Obtain and maintain vendor W-9 forms.
    • Review and process employee expense reports while adhering to government regulations and applicable accounting procedures and practices
    • Process vendor applications and maintain vendor accounts.
    • Assist with various tax filings
    • Update and maintain a list of procedures
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
    • Minimum five years of accounting experience, with at least three years in government contracting
    • Experience with JAMIS accounting software preferred
    • Experience with T&M and FFP invoicing
    • Knowledge of GAAP, DCAA, and CAS standards
    • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Outlook
    • In-person availability during regular business hours
    • Must be willing to travel to satellite offices and client/vendor sites as necessary.  While we expect travel will be minimal, travel should be expected.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree plus two years of related work experience, or Associates Degree plus four years of related work experience.

    Ability to work evening and weekend hours during the tax season.

    Competent mathematical skills.

    Experience in facilitating financial education including common budgeting practices and credit building skills.

    Experience in tax preparation, federal and state tax law.  

    Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

    Strong communication skills, including volunteer coordination and oversight, bi-lingual preferred.

    Possess a valid driver’s license and daily access to a reliable and insured motor vehicle
