    SUMMARY

    Participates in MIT Program to develop management skills and field experience by completing the following duties.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Works directly with hotel managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.

    Observes and participates in all management and administrative functions of the hotel as directed.

    Completed each module of the MIT program and obtains the General Manager’s signature as each one is completed.

    Completes management duties assigned by the General Manager or Area Director.

    Attends all meetings or functions as assigned by the General Manager, including weekly department head meetings.

    Participates in all Quality Assurance Reviews of the hotel.

    Adheres to policies and procedures of the hotel and Tharaldson Hospitality.

    Discuss any questions or concerns regarding the MIT program with your manager or Area Director.

    Provides supporting documentation of all work assignments as directed in the MIT modules.

    Acts as a role model within and outside the organization and maintains a positive and respectful attitude.

    Adheres to Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing Policy and Procedures.

    Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workloads and performs duties as workload necessitates.

    Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE ABILITY

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

    MATH ABILITY

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.

    CERTIFICATE AND LICENSES:

    Valid Driver’s License is required. No other certifications needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work and the review and limited approval of tasks.
