Regional Sales Support Manager for the West Region
SUMMARY
Plans and administers sales policies and programs to foster and promote hotel patronage by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Act as property DOS when needed and assist focus hotels with sales efforts throughout region.
Conduct the solicitation efforts for assigned hotels through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, date and space commitments for group room sales within assigned hotel.
Assist with Ecommerce efforts (including Facebook, Twitter, TripAdvisor, ETC.) for the region.
Assist RDOS in training, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
Ensure training programs are conducted regularly and Tharaldson standards of performance are met. Give guidance and counsel staff toward improvement while reporting all updates to the GM and RDOS.
Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, weekly STS sales reports, brand reports, STR Report analysis, Hotelligence 360 analysis, and Sales Meeting minutes
Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies. Make reasonable recommendations to improve potential from various markets.
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide persuasive presentations to prospective clients and clear direction to the staff.
Hold Sales Leaders/GM’s accountable for their QAP’s (Quarterly Action Plans) for assigned hotels, and execute plans as outlined, critically examining and adjusting as deemed necessary by current market conditions.
Hold Sales Leaders/GM’s accountable for their weekly STS Goals and provide guidance and coaching if goals are not being met.
Responsible for updating STS calls and groups when acting as DOS on property, ensuring Group Rooms Control log is accurate along with PMS system.
Actively communicate and work with Revenue Management to ensure focus hotels and deployed hotels are priced competitively, randomly performing rate shops and joining Revenue Calls.
Maintain open communication with RDO/RDOS on a weekly basis, providing a weekly recap of efforts on focus hotels and ensuring it is communicated with RDO/RDOS.
Conduct Bi-Weekly Power Up Calls directed to THMC Sales Leaders which address best practices, big sales wins, and/or action items.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Hotel sales management experience
Complete understanding of the STR Report
Familiarity with STS (or similar sales automation program)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to travel 75%
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Hotel Task Force Experience
5 Years Experience as DOS
Familiarity with Hilton, Marriott, and IHG PMS systems and brand systems
Proficient in Hotelligence
Knowledge of long-term stay strategy
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school required, four-year college degree preferred; two - five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or peers.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software and internet
