Regional Director of Sales
SUMMARY
Working with property-based Director of Sales and sales team to implement sales strategies that will continuously improve market share and profitability. This individual will be responsible for ensuring sales activities at the hotel support the overall sales plan to produce budgeted number and index goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide leadership and sales training to each assigned hotel in order to improve performance
Maintain a strong awareness of competitor hotels, market conditions, mix of business and pricing trends for each hotel within region
Conduct regular property visits to identify areas of opportunity and develop action plans with the sales leaders to improve performance
Ensure all sales leaders have up to date quarterly action plans that are reviewed timely
Actively participate in the sales process for each hotel while providing feedback and guidance to increase productivity
Meet and develop relationships with market CVB leaders and top accounts for each assigned hotel
Develop relationships with brand representatives and participate in relevant training and programs to gain a better overall understand of the brand and available sales tools.
Actively participate in property sales calls, key site tours and sales blitzes
Ensure all collateral represents the appropriate image and tone of the property
Ensure sales leaders and hotels within region are following THM stand operating procedures as it relates to sales and revenue management processes and procedures
Assist hotels with developing sales plans and target accounts to achieve desired market share
Review weekly reports for assigned hotels and provide feedback to sales leaders while maintaining a constant pipeline/funnel
Assist Corporate Director of Sales and other above property personnel as needed
All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school required, four-year college degree preferred; two - five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or peers.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
