    Summary: Develops policy and directs and coordinates Human Resources activities such as employment, recruitment, compensation, labor relations, training, and employee services.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Annually reviews and makes recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters. 

    Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

    Studies legislation, arbitration decisions to access industry trends and insures Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing’s Compliance.

    Responsible for Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.

    Communicates changes in Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing personnel policies and procedures and insure proper compliance is followed.

    Ensures payroll processes are effectively communicated to all managers and manages partnership with our payroll processing company (ADP).

    Oversees the Worker Compensation Program including coordinator quarterly reviews of open claims to ensure the companies MOD rating is below industry standard.

    Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing wage and salary program.

    Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.

    Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the COO on personnel matters.

    Works directly with hotel managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters. 

    Acts as a role model within and outside the organization and maintains a positive and respectful attitude.

    Adheres to Tharaldson Hospitality Staffing Policy and Procedures.

    Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workloads and performs duties as workload necessitates. 

    Assists with recruiting active and passive candidates and ensures proper onboarding procedures are executed.

    Complete other duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university plus 4 - 5 years’ experience or Associates Degree plus 5 years’ experience.

    Language Ability: Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Has the ability to read and interpret document, reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or peers.

    Math Ability: Possesses the ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, and percentages.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or ability to quickly learn numerous software systems, including THS payroll software, remote time clock, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
