    Description: Provide student-centered, hybrid instruction for English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education, and High school equivalency classes to students from various cultural and educational backgrounds. Assist students with setting and achieving SMART goals. Maintain required documentation.Main Duties:• Provide classroom instruction both face to face and via Zoom to students from various cultural backgrounds and levels of proficiency • Prepare course syllabi in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements• Prepare daily lesson plans that coincide with the Texas Standards Curriculum. Submit lesson plans to the Lead Instructor on a weekly basis.• Incorporate basic computer, job readiness, and job search skills into instruction• Utilize Burlington English and Essential Education as Distance Education curricula.• Assist students with setting and achieving short and long term SMART goals• Ensure that student goals and achievements are documented on ITEC plans• Refer students to the Intake Coordinator for testing as needed• Maintain student assessment forms• Meet and document all state-mandated performance measures for AEL gains and outcomes.• Maintain required student files in accordance with HGAC and Alliance requirements• Maintain and submit daily attendance sheets to the TEAMS specialist• Submit one success story per session to the Program Manager at the end of each session• Meet individually with students as needed during the program period• Follow up with students with poor attendance as needed• Provide discipline and guidelines for students in the classroom.• Complete required pre-service and in-service training• Attend required meetings• Some travel to various sites required• Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS: • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashtu required. • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, counseling or related field preferred• Experience in adult education, counseling/coaching or training preferred• Experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds.• Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision• Available to work a flexible schedule• Strong interpersonal skills• Consistently demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas with the principles of continuous improvement• Ability to follow specific instructions and adhere to safety guidelines• Proven ability to work and cooperate with staff and volunteers in a professional and supportive manner.• Ability to coordinate, track, and report information for statistical purposes• Proven ability to meet deadlines.• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.• Ability to drive and have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid auto insurance• Proficiency in computer use in a PC environment, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other common software platforms.• Proficiency in Zoom, MS Teams, and other video conferencing platforms• Must possess the capacity, technology, and connectivity to work remotely in an effective manner• Must maintain vaccination against communicable diseases in accordance with organizational policies• Must have a demonstrated commitment to humanitarian issues, economic development, equity of“opportunity for all,” and fostering a welcoming community
