    The Ukrainian Humanitarian Parole (UHP) Community & Outreach Specialist would assist The Alliance’sUHP clients and staff to connect to resources, stakeholders, and programs in the community. They would also assist in maintaining established relationships with the aforementioned. The ideal candidate is outgoing, personable, articulate, organized, and persistent in their mission to connect and maintain relationships with entities in the community. The UHP Community & Outreach Specialist would be sensitive, flexible, and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation, or other special needs as reflected in the ability to communicate with staff and/or clients.They would also have to uphold and advance the values, ethics, knowledge, and mission of The Alliance.Job functions: The below summary may not cover all duties and the position may require the Program Coordinator to have additional functions.• Develop and maintain relationships with community referral sources such as, but not limited to, hospitals, doctor's offices, nursing homes, and community service agencies.• Facilitate community forums and presentations, and connect with volunteer groups in Houston (that are helping recently-arrived Ukrainians), with U4U sponsors, and with Ukrainians.• Create Ukrainian language resources that can be distributed at community events and to local churches, cultural organizations, non-profits, and businesses• Maintain knowledge of The Alliance programs, screening tactics, and eligibility requirements.• Work with Case Managers to provide follow-up support to ensure clients’ adherence to referrals made including follow-up calls and/or emails.• Document and critically think through possible solutions for client service issues.• Identify and source opportunities to promote the agency within the respective targeted communities and audiences.• Assist in organizing outreach efforts, and promotional materials and producing data reports that help improve the quality of the partnership.• Prepare reports on a bi-weekly and monthly basis to track client engagement and enrollments.• Participate in professional training and development opportunities including certifications that may be required.• Participating in community events as needed.• Other duties as requestedRequired Qualifications and experience:• Fluency in Ukrainian language.• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.• Some college (2-year degree) preferred; 4-year degree a plus.• In lieu of college degrees, at least 3 years’ experience in behavioral health/clinical settings; data management, non-profit settings, and/or other administrative duties accepted.• Professional attitude and appearance.• Community orientated and team player.• Should be detail orientated with excellent organization, multitasking, and time management skills.• Ability to be compassionate and calm under pressure, resourceful and proactive when issues arise.• Hands-on experience with office equipment.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.• High degree of independent judgment, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.• Must be eligible for employment in the US.
