Description: The Disaster Case Management Supervisor will provide support and supervision to direct service team in ensuring individuals and families affected by Hurricane Harvey receive an equitable opportunity to access holistic services and resources to achieve recovery and self-sufficiency. Service areas include Fort Bend and Harris counties; may also be responsible for other counties. Please note: this is a temporary position lasting through February 2020.
Main duties include:
Supervises and mentors direct services team and support staff
Trains and provides technical assistance and support to team
Represents the Alliance with governmental agencies, VOADS, LTRCs, and partner agencies at meetings in various counties
Forms partnerships for collaboration and direct referrals
Is responsible for day-to-day management of worksite(s)
Stays current on resources, policies, program implementations, and issues and updates team of changes in a timely manner
Reviews case files and provides constructive and timely feedback to Disaster Case Managers
Leads outreach activities to identify isolated communities still recovering from Hurricane Harvey
Provides on-going program evaluation and recommendations to the Vice President & Counsel
Serves as a mediator in the event of conflicts
Prepares and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and other periodic reports as required; produces ad hoc reports as requested
Completes other duties as required
Required Qualifications and experience at this Level
Experience working in areas of case management, disaster recovery and/or advocacy required
Prior supervisory experience required
Bilingual, bicultural preferred
College degree
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible hours
Superb interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail, meets deadlines and follows up in a timely fashion
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, automobile liability insurance, and a vehicle
