Accounts Receivable Specialist/Rent Administrator
Job Description
The rent administrator is responsible for the application of rent payments to tenant's accounts including Direct Deposit payments and Section 8 deposits, as well as preparing payments to be sent to the bank and to the lock box. The rent administrator provides applicable information to attorneys and Property Managers for landlord/tenant legal cases.
Responsibilities:
· Application of payments to tenant accounts
· Reconcile tenant accounts/adjustments/charges/late fees
· Prepare bank deposits
· Follow up on arrears and collections
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years rent receivable experience
· Accounting degree or 2-3 years of accounting experience
· Computer skills, including data entry, Excel, Word, and accounting software
· Affordable housing real estate and/or property management related background
